The General Assembly of Judges of the Region of the Regional Court in Słupsk expresses its categorical objection:

1. to the lack of response of judges of the ordinary courts participating in the work of the National Council of the Judiciary to the offensive statement of the member of parliament of the Republic of Poland, referring to the judges of the Supreme Court as “thieves”.

2. to the absence of a reaction of judges of the ordinary courts participating in the work of the National Council of the Judiciary to the presentation and dissemination of a proscriptive list of judges of the ordinary courts who went on a study visit to Brussels.

The assembly understands the lack of response to the above as consent to the non-substantive, slanderous statements about judges and a sign of consent to the repression of judges and associations of judges.

The General Assembly of Judges of the Region of the Regional Court in Słupsk simultaneously expresses:

3. its approval of Resolution No. 45/2018 of the Supreme Bar Council of 29 August 2018, and calls on all authorities of the Republic of Poland to comply with and respect the judgments of the Court of Justice of the European Union;

4. its acknowledgement of judges and representatives of science taking action in public space in defence of the sovereignty of the courts and the independence of judges.

The General Assembly of Judges of the Region of the Regional Court in Słupsk expresses:

5. its categorical objection to the announcement of disciplinary action with respect to judges for their public statements in defence of constitutional values;

6. its constant disapproval of the acceptance by certain regional court judges of nominations to the posts of President and Vice President of the Regional Court in Słupsk, as well as President and Vice President of the District Court in Słupsk and President of the District Court in Lębork in place of the authorities of those courts that were dismissed arbitrarily and without substantive justification and despite the appeal in the resolution of the General Assembly of Judges of the Region of the Regional Court in Słupsk of 11 December 2017 not to participate in proceedings which breach the judge’s oath and not to accept the proposal to assume the offices vacated in the above manner. The assembly calls on those people to resign from the performance of the functions they assumed.

The General Assembly of Judges of the Region of the Regional Court in Słupsk obligates the President of the Regional Court in Słupsk to promptly post the resolution that is passed in the Regional Court’s website, send its content to the Presidents of the Regional Courts of the Region of the Regional Court of Słupsk for them to become acquainted with it and post it promptly in the intranet sites of those courts for the judges and employees to read and, furthermore, to send this resolution to the President of the Republic of Poland and the Minister of Justice, the President of the National Council of the Judiciary and the President of the Supreme Court, the Presidents of the Courts of Appeal and Regional Courts in Poland.
